Communications Overview
Your child is our Courier of Communication. You will receive a weekly communication packet, ‘CANV
Chronicle’, keeping you updated as to school news and activities, Home School Association meetings, and upcoming parish and school events. This communication is also on-line weekly at this website. Using the website, you can also access and view your child’s daily homework assignments. This keeps you in-the-know as to your child’s required assignments.
Bi-quarterly progress reports are sent home to keep you well informed of your child’s academic progress. In addition to the November Parent/Teacher Conferences for the first report card, we encourage you to keep in touch with your child’s teacher as often as you feel the need.
Every grade has a ‘Class Mother/Father’ who is responsible to notify you of emergency situations, i.e., school closings, delayed openings, etc., as well as assisting the teachers with special class activities.
The Parish Bulletin is another source of communication as it provides important information of a timely nature. You are encouraged to take a Bulletin after Sunday Mass or stop into Church anytime during the week to obtain a copy.
The Home School Association also provides opportunities for parents to learn more about school through Parent Participation Programs which are held four times a year; once each Marking Period.
